IMG_3818.JPG

Growing up in a musical family, Katrina began piano lessons at age four, later started playing the flute at age nine.

She has honed her skills under flute professor Chao-Hong Lin in Taiwan, Professor Paolo Bortolussi and Natasha Foresi in Vancouver.

Holding a great passion in music and education, Katrina decided to combine two of her favourite fields together.  She studied various subjects such as music and  children/adolescent psychology in UBC, which has presented her with the opportunity to understand her students on a deeper level to provide the most suitable teaching approach.

Many of Katrina’s students have received First Class Honours with Distinction in flute, theory and history exams in the Royal Conservatory of Music examinations.

Katrina now actively teaches flute, music theory and music history in Richmond B.C. Offering online and in-person classes.
