- About Katrina -

Music has been a lifelong cornerstone of Katrina’s journey. Raised in a musical family, she began her formal training on the piano at age four before discovering her passion for the flute at nine. Her artistic development has been shaped by the mentorship of distinguished educators, including Chao-Hong Lin in Taiwan, and Professor Paolo Bortolussi and Natasha Foresi in Vancouver.
Driven by a profound commitment to both artistry and pedagogy, Katrina pursued studies in Music and Children and Adolescent Psychology at the University of British Columbia (UBC). This academic background allows her to connect with students on a deeper level, tailoring her teaching approach to the unique needs of each individual.
Katrina is proud to have guided many of her students to achieve First Class Honours with Distinction in their Royal Conservatory of Music examinations. Today, she is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of musicians through comprehensive flute, theory, and history instruction in Richmond, B.C., with both in-person and online options available to her students.
